Prof. Dr. Bozidar Stavric

Prof. Dr. Bozidar Stavric was born in Tuzla, on January 6th 1939. He
finished Grammar school in 1957 in Brcko. He graduated from the Faculty
of Economy in Belgrade in 1965, got his MSE degree at the Faculty
of Economy in Subotica, in 1970 (supervised by prof. Stjepan Han)
and subsequently his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Economy in Belgrade in 1978 (mentored
by prof. Stevan Kukoleca). After that he worked for a couple of years as a
sector manager and company director in food processing industry, and then as
a professor at two-year post-secondary school of economy in Brcko.
Since 1974 he has been working at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in
Belgrade, in all university titles, up to a full professor . He was elected
pro-dean three times, for the area of scientific research studies. He was also
a president of the scientific board of the Marketing Research Institute
in Belgrade.
He has been editor- in- chief of the “Director” magazine since
1991. He has published a large number of scientific publications in both domestic
and foreign magazines, which is represented in the list. He has also published
several books on the topics of company economics, organization and management.
Some of those are:
In Ekonomsko-poslovna enciklopedija (Economics-Business Encyclopedia) (Savremena
administracija, Belgrade) he edited the business economics section.
He has been teaching management, organization and enterprise economics, as
well as scientific research methodology at several faculties on both regular
and post-graduation studies. He also mentored over 250 graduation thesis, and
sponsored a large number of graduate students studying for a doctorate or master
degree and reviewed over 50 books from scientific and areas of expertise in
which he has been appointed the full professor. He was nominated the expert
in the government of FRY for the area of economics, marketing, organization
and management.
